Business Development Representative – Mission Critical & Data Centers

As demand for data center construction and operations continues to accelerate, we're expanding our Business Development team to build relationships with organizations that require highly skilled technical talent.

 

Role Description

The Business Development Representative is a full-time, remote opportunity. This position focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities within facility maintenance, data centers, and commercial infrastructure markets. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting outreach via phone, email, virtual and in-person meetings presenting PPL Workforce’s staffing solutions to potential clients. The role involves managing a sales pipeline, following up on inbound inquiries, coordinating with recruiting teams to align client needs with available talent, and maintaining accurate records in CRM systems. The Business Development Representative will also support contract negotiations, participate in industry events, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and long-term account growth.

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in high-volume staffing, recruiting, or related industries with an emphasis in facility maintenance, data centers and critical infrastructure.
  • Candidates should possess strong Inside Sales and Lead Generation skills, including prospecting, cold calling, and pipeline management.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present solutions clearly, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships.
  • Candidates should possess solid Sales skills, such as opportunity qualification, objection handling, and closing techniques.
  • Candidates should possess Business Development capabilities, including market research, account planning, and strategic partnership development.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and basic office productivity tools is preferred.
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is advantageous.
